ROTEM sigma measures kinetic changes in clot elasticity from whole blood samples. By measuring parameters of clot status, a quantitative and qualitative assessment is offered. A comprehensive set of analyses allows for differential diagnosis. The analysis is performed at the bedside and provides essential information on hyperfibrinolysis, dilutional coagulopathy, fibrinogen substitution, clotting factors and/or, as well as heparin or protamine dose control.
